价格层面形成强烈反差，E5 Sportback国内起售价20.59万元，E7X国内起售价26.98万元，经过采购、远洋运输、欧盟反补贴关税、增值税、单车认证等多重成本叠加之后，两款车在德国市场售价几乎翻倍，E5 Sportback税前标价59980欧元，E7X起售价72900欧元。 即便成本大幅抬升，对比德国本土生产的奥迪同级电车依旧具备明显优势：
E5 Sportback顶配双电机版本最大可输出776马力，零百加速3.4秒，搭载100kWh 800V高压电池，CLTC续航647公里；而德国本土生产的奥迪S6 Sportback e?tron，动力仅543马力，售价却高出接近2.8万欧元，性能更低、价格更贵，对比鲜明。
硬件配置上，两款中国特供车型配备大尺寸中控屏幕、完整的本土化智能座舱、高阶智驾系统，座舱交互、车联网功能都是按照中国消费者需求调校。 整件事讽刺之处在于，大众集团此前一直在游说欧盟，希望加征关税阻挡中国产电动车流入欧洲市场，结果率先闯入德国市场的，反而是自家在中国合作生产的限定车型。
德国本土汽车行业对此态度分化，部分经销商表达担忧，提醒进口存在残值、维修的潜在风险；不少普通德国消费者却十分感兴趣，此外还有不少的国网友在社交平台吐槽，同样是奥迪技术，本土在售车型性能弱、定价更高。
